Canadian National Team Coach and 3x Olympian Andrew Lewis will visit La Cruz between his Olympic Coaching engagements for a six-day training clinic in La Cruz, Mexico. This clinic focuses on racing, with an emphasis on starting, tactics, and strategy. Andrew’s expertise and motivational skills make him one of the most inspiring and knowledgeable coaches in the game – don’t miss this special opportunity to work with him at ISA. This clinic will be focused towards youth sailors in the ILCA6.
Each day begins with discussions on key aspects of racing, followed by personalized plans to maximize gains. On-water sessions include starting repetitions and a mix of short, medium and longer course racing. Andrew will provide precise feedback and create drills as needed to provide greater focus on different areas of the course which require more deliberate practice. Debrief sessions involve group discussions and video analysis by this 3X Olympian, to highlight areas for improvement and provide focus for the next day’s mission.
“There is much potential we can unlock in ones racing by making sure the key components of ILCA racing is understood and practiced. I look forward to sharing this information with you all to better your racing skills.” Andrew Lewis

We named this package after Sir Ben Ainslie – his coach did all his rigging for him during his campaign so he could focus on one thing: sailing well. An ISA team member will completely rig and prepare your boat daily, and after sailing we’ll rinse your boat, de-rig, and put her away. Add the ultimate in convenience to your sailing vacation when you register, and eliminate rigging errors and late launching due to slow rigging.
